Conflict in Iraq: Freefone Helpline Number Established

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Brian Cowen T.D., announced today that his Department has established a Freefone Helpline Number which Irish citizens can call if they have specific concerns about friends or relatives in the Middle East.

This helpline will be operated by Department of Foreign Affairs staff who will liaise with Irish diplomatic and consular representatives in the region.
